DIVISION RULES

These rules are the ones that are from the Detailed Information page. They have been reformatted for easier understanding and transition into season III and eventually heroes 4.

Divisions & Command Hierarchy

Once a player achieves the rank of Captain that player may start an open division. the Captain may recruit: Cadets, Sergeants and lieutenants into the division for up to 10 people total.  The Captain also selects a 1st Lieutenant that is a back up to the captain for the division.  The recruits CAN NOT out rank the current Captain upon creation of the division. For example a Captain can not recruit a Colonel/General at the creation of the division.  He/she is allowed to recruit other Captains but he/she has to do it at the risk that they don't out rank him/her.

If a 1st Lieutenant achieves the rank of Captain ( or higher) under a division, he/she may choose to challenge the current Captain for his/her position, or start a new division. Challenges for captaincy is a best 2 out of 3 games. A (challenging) captain losing in this challenge format can remain under current captain as a 1st Lieutenant or open a new division.  A recruit can also challenge the Division Captain once they reach Captain in the same best 2 out of 3 game format as well.

A Captain achieves the General ranking, BY SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING A CAMPAIGN. And having over the 1600+ Points as required in the main scoring system.  An appointed General (by means of Divisional Coordinator) is now able to recruit other Captains under his/her wing (up to 3 divisions besides the original division), one additional division per campaign victory as a General thus the 1-4 Stars for a General, each star representing a fully active division under command.

   The
Captain of a division however, must accept having his/her division recruited under the General. A General can not take over a division by force. A Captain achieving the rank of Colonel can also challenge the General for each of his/her divisions under his/her command in a best 3 out of 5 game. A General without a division under their command, will maintain status as a Colonel.

Colonels can participate as 1st Lieutenant/Captain only in a division.

Generals can play for points, +100 points for every successful campaign his/her division completes.

New and Defined Rules as of 12/27/00

Leaving a Division:  A player that is a recruit or 1st Lieutenant can leave a division at any time as long as they email the Captain/Colonel or General of the departure of the division you are leaving.
