Purpose:
The Honor Council (HC) rules on issues of
honor for the Tournament of Honor. These issues include, but are
not limited to: Cheating accusations, accusations of subtly dishonorable
play, refusal by one party to finish games, etc. The Honor
Council decides how disputes will be resolved, in addition to removing
dishonorable players from ToH.
Autonomy:
The Honor Council is under the final authority of the tournament
directors. The Council acts as an independent body
to render judgements in response to "honor issues" for
ToH.
Logistics:
The Honor Council is composed of appointed members. All disputes
and complaints involving honor issues will be directed to the Chairperson
of the Council, NOT TO THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS (especially Vesuvius).
The purpose of the Chairperson is to head up and distribute cases to the members
of the Honor Council, and manage the Councils affairs logistically.
Cases involving game disputes will generally be decided by one member
of the Council only, and that decision will be binding.
